Apathy Or Passion

Life is an adventure, a journey, a trek filled with excitement, and risk. One bad or painful experience can cause you to remain on the sideline. We come to the place of just making it through the day, survive, make ends meet; we exist rather than live. We have traded the authentic for the imitation. We were created with a passion to live. When you lose your will to live, you essentially have begun the first stage of dying. We surrender ourselves to the mundane. It is apathy that defines us, a lack of emotion, listless.

So many of us have abdicated our passions for obligations, as if passion is a luxury for the young, and we must all grow up one day. We often fall into a place of living life as a life of conformity that we describe as maturity. We’ve made acting like an adult synonymous with living without passion lives. If apathy is adulthood and passion is childish, then I understand all the more the words of Jesus when He said that to enter His Kingdom we must come as little children.

Greetings, in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. My name is Marnell Wolfe. I have

been at Destiny Outreach since Feb. 6, 2006. The first ministry I became involved in was

intercessory prayer. I am honored that God has given me a desire to pray for others. I am a firm

believer that God wants to be involved in our everyday life. I also believe God desires a personal

relationship with us through the shed blood of His Son, Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit.

At an early age God placed a desire in my heart to write. Some of my material has included

puppet skits, church programs and song writing. I started keeping journals of life events and how I

marvel at God and His awesome wonders. I enjoy outdoor activities and photography. Out of

these journals I have written and self -published two (thirty one day) devotional books. With God’s

help I will continue writing.

I believe God places us where we need to be. He intertwines the gifts and talents of people for His

service. I am blessed to be a part of Destiny Outreach Ministries and thrilled to share God’s Word

and encouragement through this Blog.

In Christ,

Marnell Wolfe

It’s a new year, 2017. We get a fresh, new start. A new beginning. Whatever happened last year
good or bad, is in the past. It’s now a memory. There were wonderful times in 2016. We wanted
those days to last forever. It was easy to say, “This is the day the Lord has made: We will rejoice
and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24).Then there were horrible tragedies that broke our hearts. Pain
that was too much to handle on our own. It’s comforting to know the God we serve has
promised…” I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5) I don’t want to jump ahead,
but I wonder what the end of this year will be like? What will we see when we look back at
I believe we play a vital role in the events that will take place in our lives this year. We don’t
have to be an easy target for the enemy. We can help write our story and fill in our blank pages.
But we can’t do this alone. We must seek God’s help. As I was writing this, a scripture kept
burning in my spirit. “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things,
which you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3) I am so excited about what God is doing. I believe this
will be a year of change. God is taking us out of our comfort zone. He’s stretching us beyond
our limits. There’s no other way, we must abide in Him. He has called us to be followers. Do
you want to be part of this journey? Go deeper in His Word. Soar higher in His presence. Trust
in His unfailing love. This straight and narrow road will become the adventure of a lifetime.
Be blessed,
Marnell Wolfe
