our mission. our staff

“Our mission to equip people to reach their fullest potential in Jesus Christ.”
We don’t care what you wear or don’t wear. Whether you have tattoos or a record. We’re glad to have you.

We’re not in competition with any church in Tazewell, Bluefield, or anywhere else. Nor are we a megachurch. We have friends at megachurches and they have bathroom lines bigger than we are. We are part of the body of Christ and we intend to love people like Jesus does.

our vision . . .

“ A next level ministry, developing a community of believers who strive with a spirit of excellence to impact our generation and the next with the love of Jesus.”

We believe that when we as a church become what is stated in our vision, we will be fulfilling both the great commission and great commandment.

The great commission deals with our relationship with the world and our responsibility to reach as many people as we possibly can with the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  The great  commandment deals with our relationship with God and our fellow man and how we must walk in love towards both.

The Great Commission: “Jesus said, ‘ Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded them.” Matthew 28: 19-20

The Great Commandment: “Jesus said,’ Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.  ALL the law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”  Matthew 22:36-40

We believe that to accomplish the specific mission that God has called us to accomplish that there are five things that God has called the Church Universal to do.

To WORSHIP by celebrating God’s presence.

To DISCIPLE by growing God’s people.

To EVANGELIZE by communicating God’s goodness.

To MINISTER by demonstrating God’s Love.

To FELLOWSHIP by being a part of God’s family.
