MOPS at Tazewell County Fair

MOPS of Destiny Outreach were at the Tazewell County Fair promoting their 2008-09 season. They distributed information packets and brochures about MOPS and spoke to many moms in the area about their ministry. Children in attendance received special treats just for stopping by. Thanks to all those who participated in the MOPS booth. MOPS Open House will be on September 11 from 6:00-8:00pm. All mothers of newborn children to kindergarten are encouraged to attend.

Worship in the Park

The annual “Worship in the Park,” church sevice will take place on Sunday, August 24, 2008, starting at 10:30am, at the Graham Recreation Park in Bluefield, Va. The park is located off of the West Graham exit of 19/460.
Each year we take our service out of our church building and to the rec park and have a picnic that wraps everything up. Many people stay and play games and have a great time of fellowship! Mark your calanders now and plan on being with us.
Here is what you should bring according to your last name:
A-F Vegetable Dish
G-M Dessert
N-R Casserole
S-Z Salad Dish
You also may want to bring a lawn chair for the service at the amphitheatre.

Golf Tournament

The view from Wolf Creek Golf Course
His Networks and our Celebrate Recovery group is raising money to minister to those on probation and incarcerated in our local jails.
There will be a golf tournament on Friday Aug. 8th at Wolf Creek Golf Course. If you or your company would like to form a team, the entry fee is $300. Your company can also sponsor a hole for $100. Back to School Blowout

Wow, it was hot last year at the Back to School Blowout! We really went through the snowcones! We will be having the blowout again this year on Sunday September 7,2008 from 2pm-4pm.
This year there will be games, rides, and special music from our own Travis Roberts, L&R Duff, and the Nfusion Teen Praise Band. PLUS, free giveaways! The best part is that everything is FREE, so join us and bring someone with you.

Football Outreach
